Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

"let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the JOY set before Him ENDURED the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." -Hebrews 12:1-2


- Jesus emptied Himself and became a bond-servant (Philippians 2:7). He endured suffering for our sake. But His strength to endure the cross came from His joy in knowing what was the end result. How many times do we complain for our suffering in this life? Have we lost sight of what is to come? Eternity, living with God, everlasting life...these things should be our motivation and strength to endure and pick up our own cross daily. Fix your eyes on Jesus. God let eternity be stamped upon your children's hearts. Let us be filled with joy.
